185 – Adult Mental Health First Aid

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an internationally recognised training course which teaches people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis. Learn to recognise warning signs of mental ill health and develop the skills and confidence to approach and support someone while keeping yourself safe.

The Adult Mental Health First Aid training course teaches people how to identify, understand and help others who may be experiencing mental health issues.

Skills Required:  English Language skills at Level 2 (GCSE equivalent) or higher is a requirement, due to the terminology used throughout the course.

Alternatives:  If you are new to the subject of mental health and just want to develop your knowledge, we have other courses which may be more suitable including Mental Health Awareness and L1 Mental Health & Wellbeing.
